Stradalli Cycle Releases Special Edition Ivan Dominguez Full Carbon Fiber Road Bike Clincher Wheelset

Stradalli Cycle announces an Ivan Dominguez special edition of its most popular full carbon fiber road bike clincher wheelset.

Miami, FL (Vocus/PRWEB) January 05, 2011

Stradalli Cycle, the high performance carbon bicycle manufacturer, is pleased to announce the release of a special edition of its most popular full carbon fiber road bike clincher wheelset. This special edition wheelset proudly carries the name of Ivan “The Cuban Missile" Dominguez.

Dominguez, a professional road bicycle racer with a career spanning 10 years, played a crucial role in the research, development and field testing of this wheelset. Ivan rode thousands of training miles on these wheels, testing the durability, rigidity, and overall reliability of the set.

The Ivan Dominguez clincher wheelset offers a 50mm deep dish, full 100% carbon fiber rim, double sealed bearing chosen hubs, black bladed spokes and red anodized nipples.

With most ProTour teams road racing on medium-depth aero wheels, Stradalli responded with a bladed-spoke wheel with a carbon rim that is lightweight enough to be a contender in a fast-paced criterium event and aerodynamic enough to provide an advantage for time trialists or a solo breakaway in a road race.

Stradalli developed a rounded aero shape for the 50mm clincher rim that tests very well in the wind tunnel with low drag in a straight line and excellent performance in crosswinds. The carbon rim has a modified composite braking track to withstand higher temperatures and provide smoother stops. The rear hub is a high/low configuration. The 20-spoke front wheel is radial-laced, while the 24-spoke rear is radial on the left and two-cross on the drive side.Aluminium freehubs are sold for either Campagnolo or SRAM/Shimano 8, 9, 10 and 11 speed set-ups.
